How does the MorpheusGold work?
Much like Morpheus8, MorpheusGold expertly combines Microneedling with Radiofrequency to noticeably improve the quality of your skin. It works by precisely injecting tiny needles into the skin, to penetrate the dermal and subdermal layers.
Unlike traditional Microneedling treatments, these needles are powered with radiofrequency energy. In turn, these micro-needles pierce the skin in a minimally invasive manner to create small micro-lesions.
Radiofrequency energy then heats these lesions, encouraging the skin to heal itself. During the healing process, collagen and elastin production is triggered, promoting new skin tissue that is smoother, firmer, and lifted.
Collagen and elastin are key components in the structure of the skin. As we age, the body’s natural collagen production begins to decline. With the assistance of MorpheusGold, collagen production is restimulated to reveal a clearer, tighter, and more youthful face.
What to expect at your MorpheusGold treatment?
Initial Consultation
During your initial MorpheusGold consultation at our Colchester clinic, our skincare experts will examine the current condition of your skin.
From here, we will then put together a bespoke treatment plan based on how we can achieve the best results for your skin concerns. Depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals, we may recommend a course of 3-6 treatments every 4-6 weeks.
We ask that you avoid botox, fillers, and fake tan for around 2-3 weeks before your MorpheusGold treatment. We also advise that you refrain from using any topical retinols, acids or exfoliants 48 hours before treatment.
Please arrive at your appointment with minimal makeup. We prefer if you come makeup-free. However, we understand that not all clients are comfortable doing so.
During Treatment
Your skin will be prepped and sterilised before your MorpheusGold treatment at our Colchester clinic. A topical numbing cream is applied approximately 30-45 minutes before your treatment, to ensure that any discomfort is minimal.
Our expert practitioner will then direct the Morpheus wand over your face, targeting the skin concerns discussed during your consultation.
The skin's surface layers are then gently punctured to promote healing, while radiofrequency energy stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin.
Following your MorpheusGold treatment, pores appear smaller, smoother, and more even. This results in a brighter, youthful-looking complexion.
The procedure will last anywhere between 30-40 minutes, depending on the skin concern we are treating and its severity.
After Treatment
Upon completing your facial skin treatment, our skincare specialists will inform you of the full MorpheusGold aftercare.
Immediately after treatment, you may experience minimal side effects. Some clients may notice a slight and temporary redness in the hours following their Morpheus session. Others might experience a warm sensation that usually subsides in the days following a procedure.
After your MorpheusGold treatment, avoid touching, rubbing, or picking the skin as bacteria from your hands can lead to irritation. Furthermore, avoid harsh cleansers, retinols, exfoliators, or heavily perfumed products in the first 12-48 hours following treatment.
We also recommend that you use a clean pillowcase and towel when you arrive home and regularly apply SPF in the days following your treatment.
